My Students
My students are a wonderful mix of personalities. They are funny and sweet, sassy and intelligent, charismatic and kind. We have a literacy and STEM-focused school and we are in need of materials to facilitate our learning in and out of the classroom. We are a neighborhood school so many of these students will be here for the duration of their elementary days. There are many uses for the materials we are asking for throughout our day. We learn advanced literacy skills and high-level math curriculum to enhance our learning.
My Project
We have a small space designed for small group learning. We aim high and sometimes have groups of 30 students. We are academically gifted students studying advanced literacy and math skills.
We often work together with partners, small clusters and discussion groups.
Many times we are gathered on the floor, the corners and even under the teacher's desk. We are excited to be able to create new furniture groupings designed for our needs of the day.
This will allow us to use the small space we have to maximum potential. We will be able to share our resources, books and table space in a more productive way.
