This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A couple of science, art, and history teachers at my school site spend lunches together and discuss various topics related to student learning. We decided that why not turn these lunches into opportunities for professional development. We want to start a professional book club focused on meeting the needs of our gifted students. Together, we will explore ideas and activities to challenge gifted students. This project will provide a physical copy of our chosen book (Cultivating Genius) for every member of the club. By having the physical copy, we will be able to take notes and deepen our weekly lunch discussions. We would appreciate having your support with this professional development endeavor.
