This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are bright, energetic, creative kids who thrive at exploring new ideas. In an effort to infuse our STEM curriculum with LAL skills, we would like to add current topics and novels that discuss relevant issues in science today. We look to explore some of the overlooked scientists of the past and enrich our young scientists with an education based on current topics and technology.

Our urban school works hard to enlighten our students with the achievements of the scientists and mathematicians from their backgrounds as well as actively seeking knowledge from cutting-edge sources and not out-dated text books!

My Project

Our students could use some flexible seating choices in order to be most successful in our classroom. Just like one size does not fit all, not all students fit comfortably in one kind of chair. Some of need to move sometimes, some of us need to move all the time, some of us need to work all by ourselves. By providing my students with these choices and options you will be directly impacting their success. Students will be able to choose a position where they can concentrate and focus on their work, this will increase their own learning time and it will increase the learning time of those around them because there will be less movement and distraction.
