My students need mitts. I work with middle school students in my Physical Education and Fitness classes, and having enough mitts will ensure every student participates.

My Students
Everyday in my PE classes, students wear their PE uniform and participate in physical exercises, both fitness exercises and traditional sports. The team sports help our students build character and learn the importance of teamwork. Our daily chant is "G-House!" This brings students together.
We have a very diverse student body.
Students at my school represent cultures locally and from around the world. We have refugees from Iraq and Afghanistan with amazing stories of perseverance. We are a Title I school, with a large portion of our students in need. Our school is a positive community with friendly, welcoming students.
My Project
The mitts will help ensure that all students can participate. With the addition of these mitts, students will be able to work on their catching and throwing skills, and we can have multiple students working on their skills at the same time. Students really appreciate new equipment, and these mitts will send them a message that their physical activity matters.
Funding this project will help our students feel even further supported and appreciated.
Physical fitness is important to me as a teacher, and I want to continue to share this passion with our students. Every kid out there appreciates the value of putting on a new glove and breaking it in.
