it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The majority of my students are so excited finally have music classes in school. the 7th and 8th grade students have not had in-school music instruction in the past year or two. I also found out that many of my 6th grade students have not had elementary school music education.
I want to provide a very special music instruction and classrooms for my students so that they not only enjoy their music classes/program at Jonas Bronck Academy, but also learn the things they are actually interested in.
I have recently found out that many of my students want to get into learning musical instruments such as the piano, guitar, and violin. I thought that I could use some help in purchasing some ukuleles and/or recorders, as well as melodica. I am yet to have a concrete idea for the instrumental instruction, but the students would love to get their hands on musical instruments as soon as possible.
This is my first year as a full-time teacher. It is also the school's first year of having a music program in many years. I would appreciate any support!
