This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My energetic, students are a group with smart minds. They challenge themselves to grow their knowledge every day. This year I have a class full of extremely intelligent children who are working day in and day out to strive for excellence. As a grade level, third-grade teachers have looped with the students to third grade, so we have to find a way to keep them thriving.

This group of kids has every barrier set up against them in their personal lives and they come to school and are successful despite all the odds against them, with 90% of our school being low income.

The students in my class all come from low-income families whose parents barely speak the English language but are still striving to be the best. These loving, caring, sweet, persistent children are eager to learn more each day.

My Project

Creativity should be allowed to be at the center of all children do. My students need outlets to help get all their creativity out. Osmo letter will help them with creating letters for those still learning to read and learn letters in English. During math stations dice with higher numbers are needed to multiply at all stations. My class also needs magna tiles to explore science with magnets.

Children need creativity outlets.

My students have the ability to learn about math and science through stations using these materials everyday. Adding these materials to our stations will allow them to get some hands on experience to learn multiplication and magnets in our upcoming units.
