Help me give my students this iPad as a hands-on outlet for imaginative minds and to promote student engagement through the creation of art and music.

My Students
I teach second-graders in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are amazing, inquisitive, and eager to learn. Although some may have difficult lives, my students come to school with smiles on their faces. They are supportive and cheer each other to success. Half of them go to Title I Reading, thirty minutes every day, for extra help.
My students are special because they have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes.
They are leaders who show love, compassion, kindness, and bravery. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active, hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
My students will use this iPad to draw an image for their water bottle. This probably sounds like wow, what a project. Did you know when my students use these iPads to draw they are using critical thinking skills and incorporating real-life problem solving skills. When they use this iPad to draw, they will be focusing on making judgements about the ideas they generate, which sometimes involves testing, refining and even rejecting their ideas. After my students create their image they will print it using our sublimation printer. They will then place their image on their water bottle and transfer the image on it by using our convection oven. There's something magical about seeing your artwork in the world.
My students will also use these iPads to create visual green screen videos.
They can film each other reenacting their favorite parts of a book. They can draw animations and add them to their videos as well. They can also use Garage Band to create music to add to their video! This will be very exciting for my students while incorporating art and music!
More than half of students from low‑income households
