My Students
For the majority of my students, school is their safe zone. My classroom is the one place they know they can come to and feel secure and supported. My goal is to mold my classroom into a comfortable space that will allow their inquisitive minds to flourish.
My Project
My classroom consists of students with very versatile learning needs. They often learn better when they are not confined to a single desk. By supplying my classroom with a rug, you will create a gathering space for us to grow and learn together. Having a rug will allow my students to move to a specific location in order to be more receptive to my mini lesson rather than being spread out throughout the classroom and not being able to see if they are situated at the back of the room in a desk. Additionally, a rug will allow my students to comfortably work together in centers instead of sitting on a cold, hard tile floor.
