My Students

I teach at a small, tight-knit, neighborhood school. The parents are wonderful and active in their children's education. The students are sweet and hardworking. They love challenges and truly enjoy helping each other succeed. Our students come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds but everyone gets along harmoniously. They are constantly looking for ways to help others with fundraisers. They use good manners and love to help each other. They are always excited to come to the library and have story time.

My Project

Children love coming to the library, and it is the heart of the school. They choose books to read, research, play, and learn every day in here. Every child in the school will benefit from having a comfy place to read their books. This project will update the outdated furniture with beautiful, welcoming seating that the students will want to sit on with a good book. The stools are perfect for active learners at the workstations and the sofa is a great place to curl up with a book. I would love to read stories to my students from a cozy rocker.
