it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Board games significantly support students' mental health by providing a fun and engaging way to foster social connections. In a world where digital interactions often overshadow face-to-face communication, board games encourage players to collaborate, think critically, and engage in friendly competition. This social interaction can reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety, helping students build relationships and develop important communication skills. Furthermore, the shared experience of playing a game can promote a sense of belonging, which is crucial for students navigating the challenges of academic life.
Additionally, board games offer a productive outlet for stress relief and cognitive development.
These games require strategic thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, which can help improve cognitive skills while serving as a healthy distraction from academic pressures. Playing can promote mindfulness, allowing students to focus on the present moment rather than their worries or stressors. By incorporating board games into their routines, students can cultivate a balanced mindset, essential for maintaining mental well-being during their educational journey.
