My Students
My students truly are special and one of a kind. My students have different experiences that they bring to the classroom. Being able to adapt and grow through these experiences is what makes them special. These children are very different but one thing they have in common is that they love to learn!
These children have changed my life.
Together we have created such a great classroom environment and a loving learning space. They love to engage with their friends in activities that challenge their mind. They make the best out of every situation!
My Project
I teach in a Title 1 school in NC. There is very little support and funding when it comes to furnishing our classrooms. I have found good deals on many hand-me-down items and furniture. Last month on a whim, I purchased 5 brand-new stools out of my own pocket and the children LOVE them! It was like Christmas a month early! These children have occupied these stools every day since I opened them!
Children all learn in different ways but all children love to move.
By transitioning into flexible seating, I am giving children the power to choose and be flexible, comfortable and in control of their learning. Flexible seating will allow them to be more attentive, on task and comfortable. The children will be given the choice of a Giant Comfy Pillow, Comfy floor seat, or a Wobble cushion to complete activities or to just read a book.
