This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When was the last time you read a really good book? The thrill of being so engrossed in a book you can't quite put it down. My students are learning this feeling and are eager to continue their amazing reading streak. We have been working all year to become the strongest independent readers we can be and we are well on our way to achieving our goal.

My students are always looking for a book that will give them no choice but to keep reading.

These students are always eager to learn something new. They are inquisitive and creative. Our classroom library is an essential component of my students' daily routine. Each day my students come into the classroom excited to explore what new story they can be transported to that day.

My Project

As we embark on the second half of our school year my students are in need of some more comfortable seating options for their independent reading time. Independent reading is an integral part of our daily routine in 4th grade and my students are in need of more seating options to help keep their focus while reading their books.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their reading when they are able to be in comfortable reading positions.

The products I have selected will allow my students to keep up with their amazing independent reading goals by giving them more comfortable seating options in our classroom. These items can also be utilized during read-aloud time and for students who need flex seating options during other activities.

This choice of seating will allow my students to continue to make smart choices and will increase their love of reading.
