My classroom will use all of these books both in our classroom library and to have meaningful and rich discussions about the world around us. As an English Language Arts and Social Studies classroom, we can combine our discussions of history and current events with engaging literature to gain a deeper, more clear understanding of how our world and society came to be the way that it is today. My students are eager to learn about the history of the things they experience every day. We are excited to work towards a more equitable world through literature.
