This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I’m going to be teaching an RSP/GATE cluster next year. Speaking with previous teachers I have heard this is a very wiggly and highly active group. Many students at my school have a difficult time focusing and completing assignments. I want to be able to provide them with something to work for, and with, that they enjoy.

With the challenge of having both RSP students as well as GATE students (High and low students), I want something fun and motivating within my classroom

I want to keep them engaged and ready to learn in all sorts of different ways.

My Project

A colleague of mine uses flexible seating in her classroom and has told me many of the benefits. I am going to have a highly active class this year, with all sorts of learning levels and personalities, and I want to be able to provide them with flexible seating.

Allowing some students to be able to wiggle when needed, without getting off task will be a tremendous benefit in my classroom.

I want to provide them with different opportunities to work for different seating arrangements that benefit them the most. I need padded stools, stools, balance balls, and wobble chairs
