My Students

I work in a high school where many of our students are minority students. They are wonderful young people who work really hard to achieve success. Many of my students are at varying levels of understanding and have many different learning styles.

Despite the barriers to their learning, students continue to overcome those obstacles in my classroom because I give them the opportunity to show me what they know and to use their strengths to achieve that success!

I could not be more proud of my students!

My Project

During independent work times I want students to choose a place in the classroom that works for them. My classroom is small and I have very full classes as well. Students often ask to work in the hallway because it is a better place for them to work. The goal of getting this table is to provide students with a better, more comfortable place to work in the hallway. The table would also allow multiple students to work together on projects and assignments as well. By providing this space, I can also differentiate my lessons to meet the needs of my students. I would be able to have students working on a different part of the lesson to work in the hallway.
