My Students
My students are in a 3rd grade Spanish bilingual classroom learning to transfer all of their academic skills from one language to another! All of them are native Spanish speakers from hard working and inspiring Latinx families. Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, surrounded by loads of sounds and sights we make the most out of everyday and despite so many obstacles my students demonstrate perseverance, compassion, and academic excellence every day.
My Project
My students are learning in a 3rd grade Spanish bilingual classroom. This means that they have to read and write in both English and Spanish. Our literacy block is twice as long as other classrooms. It would be a huge help if my students felt comfortable. We need differentiated seating so students can pick any corner of our room and make it their reading/writing place for the day! These are materials I can use for years and materials that will be utilized as soon as they arrive. After the year my students have had they deserve a comfortable and safe place to do work. Help them achieve all of their academic goals!
