This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a low-income Title I school. My students have a heart of gold and are eager to learn each and everyday. They have shown they are resilient and determined as they suffered through Hurricane Harvey last year. The school has bounced back tremendously with generous donations from all over. Being able to give them a little more would mean the world to them. Any donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. My kiddos are so very appreciative!

My Project

The materials in my classroom would be welcomed with open arms! My kids love to sit up close to the whiteboard in order to be fully engaged and participating while in class, however; they often do so on a cold floor. Having carpet mats will allow them to sit comfortably and cozy while learning. Many of my students also are active and require the ability to move around throughout lessons in order to stay focused. Being able to use the chair bands would do just that with ease! Having the ability to offer flexible seating would ensure learning is fun!
