Getting Comfy for Learning

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to feel more comfortable in the classroom daily. It brings a sense of “home” to school. COVID-19 has impacted the look of our classroom as all students sit at individual desks, in rows, all facing the front. Currently, when working with small groups, we sit on the floor with students on keiki desks folded from cardboard. Many desks are breaking down from frequent use. Donating to our project will not only benefit student focus and attention, but will also support their academic growth. Most of our small group time is during WIN Time which is a school-wide RTI that stands for What I Need. Flexible seating will make students feel comfortable and excited for learning.
