This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of clipboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice. The clipboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.
What becomes a problem is the fact that we do not have enough working clipboards.
Many of the clipboards are old, broken, and dirty. We also do not have enough with the amount of students I have. The clipboards will replace the old ones and give me enough so that all students can use a clipboard on the rug. The flexible seating will help us become comfortable if sitting on the rug or going outside to explore.
The paper, binder clips, staples, laminating sheets, and paper clips will be used through various science projects. Students will explore concepts such as gravity and water tension.
The light cover will help the students stay focused by lightening the lights. The tissue paper and hand sanitizer will keep us healthy.
Lastly, the books will help us create reading stamina and will be integrated into science.
