My Project
My students are full of curiosity and energy, and they thrive in environments where they feel comfortable and engaged. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to the classroom, which makes learning together so special. I love seeing how they grow, both academically and socially, as they collaborate, share ideas, and support one another in their learning journey.
A classroom rug creates a cozy and inviting space for students to gather during whole group lessons, storytime, or group discussions.
It provides a defined area where they can focus, listen, and engage with the material in a more comfortable way than traditional desks or chairs. This rug will make our classroom feel like a community space, where students can share their thoughts, ask questions, and feel safe to take risks in their learning. The simple act of sitting together on the rug fosters a sense of belonging and collaboration.
The rug will transform the way we do group activities, like reading and media literacy lessons. Having a dedicated gathering spot helps students transition easily between activities, reducing distractions and maximizing learning time. It will also support students who need sensory breaks by offering a soft, comfortable place to sit. This environment encourages focus and engagement, and the sense of routine it provides can be especially helpful for students who benefit from structure.
My students have a love for learning and a deep curiosity about the world around them. They bring their own unique personalities, cultures, and experiences into the classroom, which enriches our learning environment. They are resilient, kind, and eager to learn from one another. What makes them truly special is their ability to support each other and create a classroom community that feels like a family.
