Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am the lucky teacher of 20 very enthusiastic preschool scholars in a low income community. My students have an array of diverse learning abilities, learning styles, and interests. I have the honor of teaching some awesome students in their first year of learning and helping them to develop the foundation for their education. It is my pleasure to have this opportunity to teach such amazing students. My students develop a love for learning and exploring through various sujects and studies.

My Project

Books on CD are used daily in our listening Center where the students can go and work independently during free choice time. In the listing Center they can pick up a book, get comfortable on the couch, and listen to it on CD while looking at the pictures so that they can make meaning of what they are listening to. The books on CD will help students to develop their language skills, vocabulary skills, and speaking skills. It will also help them in developing reading fluency and comprehension skills. For my English Language Learning students who speak another language, it will help them with speaking and developing English.
