This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I believe in giving students the power to make decisions in their learning. Letting them choose where they can sit and what they sit on makes a huge impact not only in their learning, but also in their behavior. In our class, we follow a classroom economy model where students, after earning money through class jobs, learn how to spend it on a bi-weekly class auction. These materials will be provide a comfortable space to perform this activity.

Classroom Economy time can be a time where students can apply their financial skills, however, I believe that students can work best when given the opportunity to feel comfortable in their work space.

By donating this table and stools, you will be providing my class not only with just an extra seat in class, but the opportunity to increase students' attention and learning. Student-centered classroom give students the power to take ownership in their learning. This materials will take students from ordinary to extraordinary. They will come to school knowing that they take part on deciding how to learn.
