I'm a dedicated preschool teacher of 32 underprivileged children at a Title I school. The majority of the children we serve are living below the poverty level. Working in this area is very rewarding. I'm able to help so many children that are in desperate need. My students use my classroom to escape their troubles. No matter what is happening at home, my students know that they will loved and cared for at school.
Despite all of their struggles at such a young age, my students are eager to learn and experience new things.
Your donation would greatly improve my students' first educational experience. You would be helping to provide a lifelong love of learning!
My Project
My preschool students spend a lot of time in the reading area looking at books and listening to stories. Right now, the kids have to sit in a plastic chair or on the floor when they are in the reading area. I would love to give them a comfortable and relaxing experience while listening to stories. I believe a comfy couch would do the trick! I think this couch will make it easier for them to focus on listening to the book and help them enjoy the story longer. This couch will make the reading area an inviting, cozy place where children can explore their favorite stories. Reading and exploring books is a fundamental part of early learning.
My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading by providing my students with lots of opportunities to listen to stories and to explore books on their own.
I believe that having a comfortable place to sit will encourage more students to explore literature. Please help my students enjoy the time they spend looking at books by helping us get this comfortable couch.
