Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of the students I teach receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of them aren't exposed to things that many of us take for granted in our everyday lives. Many of the students I teach don't speak English fluently and use technology to adapt to learning content as well as the language. Due to COVID and safety guidelines in place, students can not drink from the fountains and do not remember or have access to water bottles.

My students are an incredible group of kids, but unfortunately, due to supply issues, they are lacking many of the materials that would make learning more hands-on and engaging.

Students learn best through the use of hands-on practice.

My Project

The materials requested will allow students to have stations to reinforce taught skills in Reading and Math. It will also allow them to have anchor charts to reference when doing independent work.

The cardstock and laminating sheets along with the chart paper will allow students to return to a somewhat normal teaching environment complete with learning stations and anchor charts that will enhance their learning while also allowing them to interact with their peers safely.

Students will be excited to learn in a organized and hands-on classroom environment for years to come.
