Getting and Staying Engaged in Class

Help me give my students important resources that help them get and stay engaged in class, including snacks, games, and socio-emotional materials

My Project

Items such as the snacks including fruit snacks, chips, and granola bars are to support students who come to class hungry. Due to socioeconomic disadvantages, most students come and leave school hungry. These foods will help our students to receive a small form of nutrition and engage them in class.

The oil diffuser, cooling fan, and games are to make students more comfortable in class, by increasing a socio-emotional space that facilitates learning and engagement.

The Hawai'i poster and stickers are to emphasize a sense of belonging in the classroom, as it increases awareness of place and our classroom's connection to our unique Hawaiian home.
