Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a Cozy Corner in my inclusive classroom will help students to control their emotions by having materials created to learn about social emotional intelligence needs.
Struggling students are often looking for artifacts to play in order to calm down their emotional needs.
With these materials, we will have different choices to calm down.
Books to read aloud or by themselves students will help them learn about emotions like empathy and feelings. Also, having visual cards showing emotions and feelings students will allow students to set goals and place expectations. Blocks will allow them to focus in building their own creations will stimulate self confidence.
Thank you for the empathy you have in education and mainly the mental health of pupils, the future of the world.
