I need help covering the cost of registration and travel to the national Get Your Teach On conference so I can continue my professional development of learning new engaging strategies to implement in my classroom.
Hi all! I am a fifth grade teacher in Indianapolis, Indiana. I teach at a remarkable school with remarkable students. They are all one of a kind kiddos! Our school is home to students from kindergarten to fifth grade with a variety of backgrounds and languages. A large population of our students are learning English as a new language. We celebrate and embrace over 20 countries and languages in our building. A majority of our students receive free and reduced lunch. They deserve nothing but the best!
My classroom is a loving and engaging environment that gives all students the opportunity to learn and thrive.
I love to bring my classroom to life and give the students an engaging environment. With this, they enjoy coming to school and consider our class a family.
My Project
"Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you're passionate about something, then you're more willing to take risks." -Yo-Yo Ma. When reading "The Wild Card," by Hope and Wade King, this quote jumped out at me because my passion is my students and helping them to become lifelong learners.
Attending the National Get Your Teach On conference would allow me the opportunity to fuel the fire that ignites my creativity and passion to engage students in their learning.
This project will cover the cost of registration and travel for this conference.
"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. - Albert Einstein
After attending the conference, I will have more engaging and creative strategies to implement into my classroom so that my students continue to come to a place where they love to learn. This conference will also allow me to learn from and collaborate with educators from all over the world.
This project will help make a positive impact on my current students and future students.
