My class is made up of amazing 6 and 7-year-old students. These boys and girls are hard-working and so very precious. Our relationship goes beyond just teacher and student. We are close, and these kids are like family to me.
Each year, I try to provide a new and exciting learning environment for my students.
We live on Kauai, and our sources are limited. With your help, I can make our classroom more inviting, and I can make learning more fun.
My Project
As first graders, my students love to create art projects that inspire creativity and relate to our themes. We, unfortunately, lack many crafting resources. Even more unfortunate, is that we do not have a Dollar Store on our island so that I can purchase simple art supplies at an affordable price. Things that are simple to get on the Mainland, like sidewalk chalk and google eyes, are harder to find and much pricier here. We have the chance to be creative, so we don't want to extinguish that. We want to have access to cool Watercolor pens and chalk so we can fully express our artistic abilities.
With your help, my students will be able to create fun and imaginative art work using things other than construction paper and recycled materials from home.
