My Students
I want to create a cozy and welcoming learning environment that allows all students to learn to their fullest potential. As a Kindergartner EL teacher, I would like more flexible seating in my classroom, which would not force students to sit only in chair at a table all day long.
My Kindergarten students enjoy having choices and being able to be independent.
I want to provide them with these choices and freedom to move by giving them flexible seating!.
My students are inquisitive, eager to learn, and thoughtful. They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging activities that challenge them to think outside the box and in different ways to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to learn, to try new things, and to take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. My students push themselves to do their absolute personal best every day.
My Project
These wobble chairs will make a difference in my students' learning by allowing them to move their bodies but still stay focused on the task at hand. As Kindergarten students, they like to move around. The students enjoy having choices and being able to be independent. Most students love the opportunity to sit somewhere, anywhere, other than a hard chair. I want to give them that option to sit where they desire and in the chair they feel most comfortable in. I want to provide them with these choices and freedom to move by giving them flexible seating. The wobble chairs are a perfect way to allow them to wobble around in circles without distracting other learners and continuing to work and learn.
