My Students

My students are full of wonder, imagination, and have a joy for learning. Since the beginning of the year they have learned to work together, care for each other, and be accepting of one another. My students are all in different places when it comes to academics but they all come together to make one amazing class.

In our class, we know that everyone has different learning needs and they know that each person is wonderful the way they are.

We are a part of a school that aims for 100%. We aim for 100% attitude, attendance, and effort. Our class focuses on social emotional development every morning and we make sure we start the day with a song and a way to get to know each other better. We value mistakes and have learned that mistakes make our brains grow and only move us forward.

My Project

The flexible seating will allow my students who love to move more opportunity to complete their work at their seat. They will be able to wobble while they work and it will help them focus on the content as well. The seats can be used in their chairs or anywhere else in the room where they feel they can be successful. I have been working on giving the students more freedom on where they would like to sit and giving them the responsibility of deciding what they need to make sure they can do their jobs. The flexible seating will give the students another option of seating as well as more students having a choice.
