I am extremely grateful and lucky to work with such a diverse group of students. Every single student in my classroom is valued and unique in their own way and I find it so important to highlight their personalities and creativeness in a way that allows them to think outside of the box. The school, parents, teachers, and community are able to work together to academically and socially advance the students and it creates such a strong and family like environment. If I have a classroom of happy and healthy students than that is all that matters to me! I want to create a safe, fun, and effective learning environment that enables every child in the classroom to learn and grow to their fullest potential. The roller coaster ride that we call teaching has its ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!
As our school embraces the ever-changing dynamics in our school community, I am always looking for the newest and greatest way to get students engaged, get their bodies moving, and wanting to LOVE to learn! The Get Your Teach On conference will offer me current research-based strategies to take back to my classroom that will light a fire with my students to look past the standards and immerse themselves in curriculum that is fundamental for their learning. At this conference, I will be able to gather tips, tricks, practices, and bring back building blocks to my classroom from some of the top teachers in the nation. I want to bring dynamic, energetic, fun, and intriguing lessons back into the classroom and help the students feel empowered in their own learning!
