My Project

Many students learn better when they have something to touch and move while learning. They also understand and visualize a concept better when they can see it modeled in class by their teacher using real world examples.

These hands on math supplies will help my students grasp the new skills and stay engaged when learning new math concepts.

Fractions are a tough topic to learn without hands on tools, which the tiles will provide. Also, getting to actually use a balance scale by adding weights to balance will help my students visualize what is being asked of them when learning mass. Reading a clock is a skill students need and using a larger one in front of the class will help the students recognize the time when they are out and about, on their own, which creates confidence in the real world.
