Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 36 students in my class who are 6 and 7 years old. I teach in a collaborative classroom. Our school is located in a high poverty area, and all students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. Even though my students do not come from the best home life, they come in each and every day very eager to learn. We spend just about every day on the floor working on our reading and math skills. We learn our skills through games and activities. My students really love the hands-on activities that we have been fortunate to be able to do.

My Project

We have our annual rock your school day coming up soon. My students would love to have the light up and black light things to make this day as amazing as it can be. Our theme for this year is "Get You Glow On", so these supplies would make this day the best one yet. Every year our students look forward to this day and to see what the theme will be. I believe that with the glow theme this year it will absolutely rock our school. This is such an exciting day for everyone involved. They students are learning so much without even realizing they are learning. They are so caught up in all the fun!
