Get Women's Lacrosse In Check

My students need women's lacrosse sticks and face masks to start an intramural lacrosse program at our school.

My Students

My school has a diverse population. A large number of students come from military families. I have students who are homeless, low income, middle class, and higher. This diversity disappears on the field and provides an environment where all students work together, count on each other, and learn from each other.

Being part of a team makes a difference for middle school students' self esteem.

The community is supportive and embraces sports and physical activity. They are an active community that encourages the students at the school.

My Project

Lacrosse is a sport on the rise and a great opportunity for girls' college scholarships. Local colleges are recruiting out of state due to the lack of women's lacrosse programs locally.

With the addition of lacrosse in our high schools we need to prepare our girls to try out for the team and be competitive at the middle school level.

We have started a lacrosse intramural but need to be able to teach the girls and the boys game which has many differences. Our girls are currently using boys equipment so the addition of the girls equipment will allow our girls the opportunity to learn the proper skills needed to play women's lacrosse. My students need women's lacrosse sticks and face masks to start an intramural lacrosse program at our school.
