My students need tablets and protective cases to help improve their literacy skills and mathematics manipulation. A lack of technology has been a great disservice to my students.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Conahey's classroom raised $436

My Students
My students come from a low-income community, and have limited access to technology. Many of our students struggle with reading, but technology helps to open the door to their imagination. If reading can be interactive and fun, students are more likely to become engaged.
I adore the students at my school!!!
They work hard for the things they have, and are beyond grateful for the things they are given. They are very loving, and always eager to help out. Many of them come from single-parent home with their guardians working crazy hours. Coming from the county with the highest unemployment rate, our students do not have much beyond their necessities. They deserve to have access to technology, just like other kids.
My Project
As of right now, we have no technology in the classroom. Having tablets would be a great step into technology. It would allow students to work on their individual needs during center time. Whether they are still learning their letters or they are reading, their are different resources available to fit their specific needs and goals. The same goes for math. Some students come into school knowing their numbers, where others still need the added help. The tablets would allow for the individual time to help meet these students specific needs.
In the age of technology, it is hard to picture a classroom lacking in computers, projectors, and tablets.
Unfortunately, it is a reality in my classroom! I am hoping that through the help of the generous donations, my students will gain access to technology to help meet their specific literary and mathematic needs!
