My Project
Students who have severe challenges with social and recreational skills can use this technology to better both of those quality of life areas in their life. For my classroom, I know first hand how important it is to have as many tools as possible to facilitate social engagement and interaction for students with Autism. This technology enables fun, social, and active ways for my students to engage in our classroom environment! I have very few other activities, lessons, or ideas on how to get better social engagement that do a better job than these Nintendo units hooked up with 4 controllers. By having upgraded video game technology, and having games that are active and geared towards social play, the items I’m requesting for my project will help my students with severe and significant social/recreational skill deficits (individualized education plan’s with social and recreational goals in them) achieve greater engagement and social/recreational growth.
