My Project
Read, read, read, read! This is what I would like my students to do--read, read, read! As a Hmong Dual Language Immersion classroom, I want to give my students the opportunity to have easy access to books from various backgrounds and genres. I would like to fill up the two five-tiered spinning shelves in my classroom with these books. Furthermore, some of the books requested are books of the United States' five regions. We study the regions as a part of our Social Studies curriculum. It would be great if we have access to these books throughout the year. The variation of books will add to my collection of bilingual (Hmong and English) books that are already on the shelves. I am hoping to spark students' interest in reading and the contexts.
Again, my goal for this project is to acquire a wide variety of books from various backgrounds and genres to spark my students' interest in reading.
