Get RMS a New Bass and Some Accessories

My students need a new electric bass and a few ligatures for the bass clarinets.

My Students

The electric bass we have has been around forever. The bass is showing it's age and is beginning to fall apart. We use this bass in all the concert band classes and in the jazz band class and it is important to have a functioning instrument.

These students are from all over Los Angeles.

The students come from as far north as the Encino and as far south as San Pedro. They come for an excellent educational experience. Our music program is also one of the largest in LAUSD and over 1/3 of the students here are part of the music program.

My Project

Since we use the electric bass in all of our concert band classes it would enhance the experience of all the bass players in those ensembles. This instrument will also add a great timbre to the ensemble and will also give a low end boost to the group. The bass clarinet ligatures will be an upgrade from the cheap metal ligatures we have now.

This project is important because music in schools is important.

This project is important because our students are important. We must support the arts in the schools and help create students who are well rounded.
