Help me give my students a new rug to replace the 10-year-old rug in my classroom. The dry erase boards and pockets will help my students in stations and also help me gauge students' learning.
My first grade students are excited, enthusiastic, and energetic about being in the first grade and learning. They consider themselves BIG KIDS now. In first grade, students continue learning how to read, solve equations, and learn how to speak and write in complete sentences.
My philosophy for my first graders is to teach children how to become lifelong learners, readers, and problem solvers.
As a heavily populated English Language Learner school it is imperative that my students have every opportunity to become great learners.
My Project
The rug is an every hour use. I use the rug for multiple purposes. The rug is used for whole group instruction many times a day. I also use it for center activities. This rug will also help the students have a comfortable place to sit during instruction. The dry erase boards and pockets are used for center activities, whole group activities, and writing activities. This will make it easier for students to participate and engage in learning.
Donating to this project will help my continuing efforts to make my students' lifelong learners.
These items will help my students become fabulous first graders!
