This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My preschool students love to learn in all areas of the classroom, but the sand and water area is one of their favorite places to visit during the day. This area gives the students the opportunity to learn so many skills such as socializing, language development, and mathematical skills like measuring using weight and volume, as well as igniting students' passion for STEM learning through problem-solving.
I have requested two sand/water tables, kinetic sand, and white and colorful sand, and water marbles.
My students are always so appreciative of the very little they have and I know they would love to see the sand and water area that they like the most permanently opened with these new resources and supplies.
These sand and water tables will be replacing our damaged ones of 20 years, which are constantly being repaired.
