My students are eager preschoolers from the ages of 3 to 5 who are from many different cultural backgrounds. My students are very energetic and have a big appetite for learning. They are inner city, urban kids and most are low income class kids from hard working families. Growing up in a poor urban city is difficult no matter what age you are. When you are as young as my students every little incident can have a tremendous impact in their life. I want my students to concentrate on the good things that life has to offer. Recreating images of happy moments are memories that are unforgettable. Having a vast variety of choices of materials and supplies in the classroom will inspire my students to use their sensory skills by exploring and creating those life experiences the will be treasure forever.
