My students need physical education equipment including a bigball bin, 24 hoops, 30 jump ropes, a parachute, 2 volleyballs, and 2outdoor basketballs so they can fulfill the California state standards.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students need physical education equipment. We need an equipment cart, volleyballs and basketballs so we can exercise our bodies.
By the end of the year I would like my students to become well rounded individuals who can work independently and think for themselves.
I would also like them to be able to use several strategies in order to accomplish certain tasks. My biggest challenge is not having enough or the proper resources.
My Project
My students come from a low income community in which they don't have what they need to succeed in education. They are hungry for learning but it is very challenging for them because they don't have the proper resources or support at home at times. My school is a Title I school which means that students come from a low income community in which it is challenging for parents to provide for their children. I am asking for some basic but essential PE equipment. I am requesting a bigball bin, 24 hoops, 30 jump ropes, a parachute, 2 volleyballs, and 2 outdoor basketballs. I plan to use these materials to develop my students' skills. The parachute will be used to each movement and cooperation. The jump ropes will teach agility and endurance. The volleyballs and basketballs and hoops will teach team work and sportsmanship while helping students get fit.
This donation will help improve my classroom by allowing my students to meet the physical education standards so they can master them.
This project will also allow them to be fit and healthy. It will change my students' lives because they will learn sportsmanship like conduct and how to work with other team members. This PE equipment will also help them to acquire the skills needed to be successful in the classroom.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
