My Project

I will be teaching a 5th through 8th grade physical education class next year for those students who are not doing any athletics. This class will get the non-athlete students exercising to get fit and moving.

I would like for each student to have their own yoga mat to workout on.

I plan to use yoga, different exercises, jump ropes, and anything else I can get to help the students get fit and get moving. I want to also incorporate nutrition education and help the students make good choices in not just exercising, but eating healthy, too.

This is our first year to try this, so I am starting from scratch. Students today are getting more screen time than up and moving time, and we want to make a difference. The choice the students make now will effect them in the future.
