Many of my 4K students are entering into their very first classroom experiences. These students are selected to enter our unique bilingual educational experience due to their low socioeconomic status. These students enter the classroom with so many opportunities to learn and grow.
Along with their first classroom experiences, we look to provide the exposure to arts and movement, social-emotional growth, and motor skills.
Through these efforts we look forward to developing the whole child as we prepare students for 5K readiness.
My students are eager to learn their letter names, letter sounds, rhyming skills, and the ability to find initial sounds in a given word. These skills are critical for their future success in 5K and beyond! The best way for them to develop these skills is through hands-on learning and 4K, hands-on learning looks a LOT like play!
Providing my students with materials that allow them to play while they learn will significantly increase engagement and interest as they fly robot letters, fish for capital, and catch the shooting letter sounds!
These materials will propel us forward in our learning as we work to b 5K ready!
