Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 4th and 5th grade students are eager to try new things, and I want to introduce them to the lifelong sport of golf! Many of my students have never held a golf club or set foot on a course. With your help, we can bring golf into our PE program and give them a unique, inclusive experience that builds confidence, coordination, and focus.
Golf is a game of patience and precision that helps kids develop both physical and mental skills.
It teaches perseverance, honesty, and self-discipline—qualities that carry into the classroom and beyond. I’m requesting age-appropriate golf equipment like plastic clubs, practice balls, putting mats, and cones to set up fun and engaging golf stations.
This equipment will allow students to safely practice swings, putting, and basic golf skills right on school grounds. Whether they're beginners or discovering a new passion, this project will make golf accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
