A typical day in my classroom is jam packed with academics, fun, and high energy. We are a class of 25 rural students from Brown County in Ohio and I teach in an inclusive setting. I'm very passionate and dedicated to my students and teaching.
My students are so inquisitive and eager to learn and love a good challenge!
I get excited when my students accomplish something they didn't think was possible. I also get excited when I see my students grow not only as a learner, but as a person! I love seeing them become lifelong learners. My students are bright, highly motivated, and love to learn. We love to use our brains to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving.
My Project
When students are excited and engaged, learning happens naturally. A simple room transformation will pique their interest and motivate them to participate while having fun learning. When students step into our glow in the dark classroom, their desire to learn will skyrocket!
As a teacher, I am always striving to present material in a fun and engaging way that will meet the learning styles and needs of all my students.
I want to make sure that no matter how rigorous the content is that I am allowing equal access for all learners. This room transformation, along with gamed based activities will definitely create an environment where all learners can be successful.
In this exciting black light environment, students will work together completing challenging, content-based task cards while doing what they love best, playing games. Some of the games we will be playing include Glow Bowling, Glow Hedbanz, Glow Spoons, and Glow Tic Tac Toe. We will also enjoy a little glow in the dark reading as well.
