Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students are starting to get excited about reading. When I was a kid, I always loved reading at home and at school. Now that iPads and TVs are more common, I worry that my students won't develop the same love of reading and learning that I did. With a large, varied, and organized library, my students can choose books that are right on their level and are interesting to them. Not only will they advance their reading skills, but they will also learn something new or enjoy the story.

My class and I sat down together and made a list of topics that they want to read about, and I created this project to help fill their heads with the stories they want to read, and topics they want to learn about.

I can also let them check out books to take home and read with friends and family members. I hope to build not only a great class library, but also to build a lifelong love of reading in my students.
