My Project

One of the many things I try to do as a reading teacher is to encourage my middle school students to grow in their love for reading. As my students increase in their reading abilities and their love for reading I want to make sure that I have many novels that will engage them and make them want to continue reading. The composition books will be a place where they can reflect on and respond to their reading.

My classroom library is in need of novels to help them stay hooked on reading.

I have chosen engaging and enjoyable books in which they see themselves and can relate to the characters. I have chosen books that they won't be able to put down. The rug will help provide a cozy place in my classroom where they can go off and get "lost" in a good book.

Many of my students have shown significant growth in reading this year, and I know these new books will help this trend continue. They are on the right track to being ready for next year, and nothing will stop them. Please support this project and help my kids to continue to grow as readers.
