Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a special education teacher working in the South Bronx, I can list the students' needs and deficits. The list is long and easy to write, but I won't. Instead, I will write about what they are.
My students are funny and amazing children.
They're kind-hearted. They're hard-working. They're silly and crazy at times. They're dedicated to their friends and family. They are striving to make their lives and community a better place. They are first graders and they deserve the best we can give them.
My Project
These materials will help keep a clean, healthy, and germ-free school environment. The Mrs. Meyer's gentle cleaners will be used for student tables. The Clorox wipes and spray will be used to wipe down higher-touch areas like their pencil cases and the sink. Bounty tissues are also in high demand to keep everything and everyone clean.
These items are so important to their health and safety.
There are also other materials in this list that will be used in the classroom, like the erasers and the file folders.
