Help me give my students a clean, germ free classroom where they can learn and thrive. They need Lysol wipes, baby wipes, liquid bleach and hand sanitizer.
My 3 year olds are some of the most amazing children I have ever met. They live in one of the most dangerous communities in our nation's capital and some have gone through more in their young lives than many of us will every have to endure in a lifetime. Every day they walk down a hill to school where they are able to escape the violence that riddles their neighborhood. Despite all of the challenges they face outside the school walls, they still come to school each day ready and excited to learn.
My students thrive on the educational and enrichment opportunities being offered to them which helps them to build their background knowledge and expose them to things they otherwise wouldn't be exposed to.
Many of them would not have any opportunities to build their educational foundations if it wasn't for being enrolled in school.
My Project
The number one reason my students miss school is because of illnesses and I can't teacher students who aren't in school. For many of my students, this is their first time in school and their immune systems are not built up enough to help fight off the common cold. These cleaning supplies will allow for us to disinfect the classroom on a regular basis to help keep the transmission of illnesses down.
Preschool can be a dirty place where germs like to breed.
Students will use the hand soap to wash their hands before they eat and after using the bathroom. The bleach will be used to disinfect toys on a weekly basis. The disinfectant wipes will be used to wipe down nap mats and tables. The disinfectant spray will be used to sanitize toys in between bleaching. And the baby wipes are safe for the children to use to wipe their faces and help wipe down chairs to help keep the transmission of illnesses down.
